Lumi Master Rarity: Rainbow, Starcolor & Stellarization

Two different systems get mixed up in Lumi Master: quality (the color of a caught Lumi, which changes its stats) and Starcolor (a cosmetic shine on top of rainbow quality). This guide separates them and explains how players are getting rainbow Lumi without spending.

The five quality colors

From weakest to strongest: green → blue → purple → gold → rainbow. The same Lumi can be caught at different qualities, and higher quality means better stats — one data site lists a quality range for every Lumi (for example a gold-only Aura Lumi at 95, a common Lumi at “54–86” depending on the roll).

Rainbow vs gold: how much better is rainbow?

Players report two differences: rainbow Lumi roll higher stats, and they are the only quality that can be raised with stars (reported at about +10% per star, up to +50%). Treat the numbers as player-reported until Bilibili publishes them. A gold Lumi you can build today is usually worth more than a rainbow you do not have.

How to get a rainbow Lumi for free

• Launch rewards — everyone who logged in after launch received a free Rainbow Lumi Egg, and the store page promises an Ultimate Rainbow Lumi Egg for new players.
• Exploration — several free-to-play players on r/LumiMaster got their rainbow Lumi from normal exploring.
• Rainbow cards — you start with a handful of rainbow catching cards; creators suggest saving them for a Lumi you actually want.
• Invite Friends — the invite event gives an exclusive Rainbow Egg.
• Stellarization — trading in Lumi for eggs (below).
• Season map — a rainbow egg sits at the end of the Season 1 map; players are still reporting whether free-to-play accounts reach it.

What Starcolor does

Starcolor is cosmetic. It changes how a rainbow Lumi looks, not its stats — the r/LumiMaster Day-4 review lists rarity as “green, blue, purple, gold, rainbow, and starcolor (cosmetic only)”. Some collection goals, however, specifically require a Starcolor Lumi, which is why players with a rainbow but no Starcolor get stuck on them.

Prism Mirrors are the Starcolor item. A data site states that 10 Prism Mirrors awaken a rainbow Lumi into Starcolor, and creators describe using them to re-roll the Starcolor effect. Spend them on the Lumi you will keep using.

Stellarization

Stellarization is the trade-in system at the Stellarization tree. You submit Lumi that match a request and get an egg or other rewards back:

• The first “kick-off” challenge asks you to give up a rainbow Lumi and lets you preview the egg’s possible results (a creator shows five possible Lumi, including Sunbelle and Zappup).
• A common requirement reads “8 Lumi of different types” — it means 8 different elements among the 10 Lumi you submit, not 8 separate submissions. Two of the same element count once.
• Some exchanges trade several gold Lumi for one rainbow egg, or a rainbow for a rainbow.

Quick answers

• Can a gold Lumi become rainbow after it is fully evolved? Nobody on r/LumiMaster had found a way as of September 23 — quality appears to be fixed when you catch it. Keep the gold one for your team and hunt a rainbow copy.
• Does Starcolor matter for battles? No — it is cosmetic.
• Which Lumi should get my Prism Mirrors? Because Starcolor is cosmetic, give it to the Lumi you enjoy looking at most — or one a collection goal asks for. It will not change battle stats.
